The NFL’s 2022 Draft – The Most Recent NFT Collection

The NFL’s inaugural ‘Draft’ event took place on April 28th, and to commemorate the momentous occasion, the league introduced a new NFT series on its virtual commemorative ticket NFT marketplace. The ‘2022 NFL Draft’ collection includes 52 distinct collectors NFTs, each devoted to one of the league’s 32 clubs.

The NFTs, which have a typical French suit playing card design, are already on the market and cost $52 each. As those who have previously participated in the NFL’s virtual commemorative ticket NFT idea are aware, purchasing one of the NFTs will not be the only method to obtain one, as they will also be handed to a section of lucky fans who attend certain NFL games.

Furthermore, a portion of the collection will be distributed to members of this year’s Inner Circle Club, which comprises fans chosen to represent each team on Draft night.

Despite being set to open in November 2021, the NFL’s Polygon-based marketplace is still in the ‘test and learn phase,’ according to Sam Rubinroit, the NFL’s Director of Club Business Development. Having said that, and with the help of the frantic NFL calendar, the market has been able to develop a variety of projects throughout its relatively short six-month tenure.

So far, this has included the delivery of virtual commemorative ticket NFTs to NFL game attendance, collections centered on the NFL playoffs and champions, and an initial ‘Regular Season Clubs’ NFTs collection, the assets of which were previously exchanged for thousands of dollars.
